From the 2nd to the 6th of June 2012, the Chestochowa icon, having been brought from Moscow by a special car, pilgrimaged through Kazakhstan.
During her pilgrimage through this land, the icon of the Virgin Mary visited four towns—Astana, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, and Petropavlovsk.
The faces of Orthodox Christian priests and laymen beamed with heartfelt joy. People of all ages came to adore the sacred icon, many of them came with infants.
As in Russia, the visit of the icon was a good sensaton in Kazakhstan. Main local media covered the event in each town.
Unfortunately, because of tight schedule it was impossible to bring the icon in other Kazakhstan towns, where people looked forward to meet her. Well, now we have a reason to bring the icon there once again.
During next few days we are waiting for long and difficult way to Vladivostok, where the Icon will visit the main cathedral of the city to be worshiped by thousands of believers.
In June 14-15, a great historical event will occur in Vladivostok: International Campaign in Defense of Family and Life “From Ocean to Ocean” will start. During this global pro-life action the icon of Our Lady “Czestochowa” will pilgrimage from Vladivostok to Fatima.
