125 Indian Members of Parliament Back Petition to Introduce a Two-Child Policy

Nearly 125 lawmakers in India’s Parliament have signed a petition to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, calling for a nationwide two-child policy. Members of Parliament (MPs) who signed the petition have called for a law prohibiting Indian couples from having more than two children with stiff penalties for couples who exceed the proposed two-child limit.

Romania’s population keeps shrinking in 2017 due to demographic decline and migration

Romania lost more than 120,000 people in 2017, mainly due to the natural decline, as the number of deaths exceeded the number of live births by 71,125 people last year, according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INS) released on Wednesday, August 29. Migration was the second most important cause. The decrease is lower than the one registered in 2016, however, when Romania’s resident population dropped by 122,000 people.

WE DID IT: An American Family, Now Legal Residents of Russia

I have no Russian ancestors. I have no Russian spouse. We are not wealthy. We are not famous. And now, we are not tourists. We are legal residents of the Russian Federation. People said it wasn't possible. This is how we did it.

For the past year and a half, my family and I have been living in Russia on tourist visas. But now, we are tourists no longer. I went to the immigration office in Yaroslavl, and picked up our new documents.

We are now legal residents of the Russian Federation.
